NAVI

Reinventing library way finding with mobile augmented reality

Challenge

Locating books in a library can be an unnecessary tedious task.

The Dewey Decimal System can be confusing. Even if you know it well, in a large or unfamiliar library, it is not always clear where the shelf you are searching for is located.

Solution

A mobile service that leverages augmented reality and RFID sensors to enable people to find their way to any book.

By attaching RFIDs to each book, NAVI uses augmented reality through a mobile app to measure distance and represent that within the physical space of a library. Visitors and librarians never have to remember a code or an aisle again.
